Co-founder and Managing Director
Over the past 10 years, Samuel has helped grow many startups in Ghana, directly as a founder, executive, investor or advisor. Prior to starting ServLed, he was chief operating officer of Rancard Solutions, a technology company he helped scale. Prior to that, Samuel held process engineering roles at Amgen and Merck in the USA. Samuel holds a chemical engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the USA.
Samuel’s role at ServLed includes leading formulation and execution of the organization’s strategy. He serves on the organization’s investment committee and serves as a mentor for the program.
Co-founder and Director
Mr. Fitzroy Brown is co-founder of ServLed and a serial entrepreneur who has founded and co-founded successful Ghanaian business entities in the past 14 years.
Prior to co-founding ServLed, Fitzroy was Executive Director of Syndicated Capital, a company he co-founded and helped lead to achieve 70% of market share in the Digital Receiver business for Multi-TV in Ghana. He is also currently Managing Partner and Founder of Broadcast Solutions, one of the preferred equipment suppliers for the TV and Radio industry in Ghana. Broadcast Solutions currently holds 38% market share.
Fitzroy serves on the investment committee.
Mr. Ope Babalola is Managing Director of Era Services (Sierra Leone) Ltd, a startup group of companies based in Sierra Leone, and Managing Partner of Constelor Group, an international advisory services firm with offices in Accra, Dakar and Singapore.
He is a Chartered Management Accountant and holds degrees in Accounting and Management from Nigeria and the UK. He has worked at Midland Bank (UK)/HSBC Bank and the London Stock Exchange, as well as spent several years in consultancy, training companies and individuals in a wide variety of Management, entrepreneurship and business issues (including four years at Empretec). His clients included government agencies, multinationals, international development agencies such as the UNDP and the World Bank, and several others in the private and public sectors.
He is currently leading advisory initiatives to governments in West Africa and has been instrumental in Business to Government and Government to Government initiatives particularly in West Africa. He has served as a resource person on doing business in Africa in conferences across Africa, the US and South East Asia.
He is a member of several associations including the 3A Forum. He also serves on the executive of the Africa-Southeast Asia Chamber of Commerce based in Singapore.
Ope serves on the finance and operations committee of ServLed on which he provides guidance for ServLed investees on how to effectively manage operations. Ope also serves on ServLed’s investment committee.
Mr. Patrick Oduro is a former top executive of Nestle Ghana Limited. He is currently the CEO of Hephzibah Christian Centre (Kitase, Ghana).
Patrick is also Managing Partner of Prime Solutions Consult, a management consulting firm that provides marketing and brand positioning advisory to SMEs in Ghana. He serves on several boards including that of ABAN (A Ban Against Neglect), (an NGO that is focused on rescuing and developing abandoned youth in Ghana) and the Liberty American School.
Patrick serves on ServLed’s marketing and market development committee. This committee provides guidance to the investee companies on new market development and on brand creation. Patrick also serves on ServLed’s investment committee.
Senior marketing analyst, Community manager and partnership liaison
Prior to joining ServLed Genevieve worked with Imajin Advertising as a Client Services Manager responsible for the account management team and a portfolio of brands. Prior to that, Genevieve worked with Scanad Ghana (formerly MMRS Ogilvy) where she managed advertising accounts for local and multinational brands like Vodafone, DStv, Coca Cola and Accra City Project. She also worked with Zain Ghana (now Airtel Ghana) as a customer operations executive and taught economics at Wesley Girls’ High School. Genevieve holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Geography from the University of Ghana and a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK.
Genevieve’s day-to-day role includes coordination of program activities for investment cohorts and support of talent acquisition. She also leads partner acquisition and management, and is responsible for the all marketing activities for ServLed and its investee companies.
Gertrude provides bookkeeping and accounting support for the investee companies. She is also directly responsible for ensuring internal policy compliance as well as external statutory compliance for all investee companies.
Administrative analyst intern
Mina started working at ServLed as an intern in 2013. Over the years, she’s developed into an exceptional administrative and operations coordinator. Mina currently provides administrative support for ServLed and its investee companies.
Contractors, partners, consultants and business development mentors
CEO, RDK Consulting
Richard, currently the managing partner of RDK Consulting Services is a chartered accountant and a member of ACCA (UK) and ICA(Ghana). He also holds MBA (Finance) and he is at the final level of the Chartered Institute of Taxation programme. Richard has over 10 years combined industry and consulting experience in the areas of accounting, audit, tax and enterprise applications and business advisory. He is also passionate about using IT as a business enabler.
Richard provides senior accounting and finance oversight for ServLed and its investee companies.
Dr Gordon Adomdza (The Startup Traction Program)
Gordon is a senior lecturer at Ashesi University and team leader of the Startup Traction Programme; a cross organisational program that helps entrepreneurs to test and validate their business ideas whilst developing an entrepreneurial skillset to make their startups succeed.
Managing Director, AFB
Arnold was formerly the Head of Commercial Banking at Access Bank, Head of Treasury, Sales and Product Development at Intercontinental Bank and Director of The Global Management Challenge (the world’s biggest competition on strategy and business management). Prior to that he was Head of Intra Africa Trade and Transaction Banking at United Bank for Africa.
